COVERGIRL Kind of Week | BDJ Box 7-Day Challenge

5 Jan

Happy New Year everyone!

For my very post this 2015, I decided to make it the BDJ Box 7-day challenge. For 7 days straight, I used the whole lot of products I got from the December 2014 BDJ Box (Covergirl Exclusive) which I haven’t done any unboxing posts yet… wait for it soon!

I had a wonderful staycation and celebration of Christmas and New Year. With those events and everything in between, I used the following:

  • Covergirl TruBlend Liquid Makeup in Shade 2
  • Covergirl TruBlend Pressed Powder in Shade 2
  • Covergirl Eye Enhancers 4 Kit Shadows in Country Woods
  • Covergirl Cheekers Blush
  • Covergirl Lash Blast Length Mascara

All these products are full size! Actually, the only things I added are eyebrow products and lipstick and my whole look is complete.

BASE – The foundation Covergirl TruBlend Liquid Makeup in Shade 2 is a perfect match on my skintone. It blends nicely giving me a light to medium coverage. It lasts for 5 hours and can easily be retouched by the Covergirl TruBlend Pressed Powder in Shade 2. I love using the powder because it sets the TruBlend foundation and the two work complimenting each other. I bring the powder with me because I actually use this mainly as a blotting powder and my look is still intact.

EYES – Aside from the eyebrow products and Shu Uemura eyelas curler I use, I follow them up with Covergirl Eye Enhancers 4 Kit Shadows in Country Woods which is an awesome neutral eyeshadow shade! There is a highlight shade and the others are a bit on the frosty side. I have been using this everyday since I got it because it looks so natural. It is not as creamy as I thought it would be but I am happy that there are only a few fallouts. I use all shades to create a brownish nude smokey eye and individually if I only want a simple look. I am excited to try the other shades as well. After the eyeshadow, make sure to use Covergirl Lash Blast Length Mascara to open up my eyes and make me look more awake.

CHEEKS – Thanks to BDJ Box, we Bellas, are the first ones who got to try the newest product to be released this February…Covergirl Cheekers Blush. I like that it has a tiny hint of shimmer and is not chalky at all. I use a bigger brush (not the one included in the package) to distribute the pigments nicely on my cheeks. I like the rosy-plummy shade I got! I bring this with me in kikay kit because it is such a nice thing to put on your face!

As you will see, the pictures are not close up because I am having a HUGE Breakout this season. I think the culprit is from eating the nuts/cashews from the cakes served. Any kind of nuts break me out but I can’t help eating them (UGH!!!)

We were on our way to the mall to do some last minute Christmas shopping!

So there, with the uploaded pictures, you can actually tell that I intended not to zoom in to my face. Anyway, my staycation is wonderful because I get to spend time with all my loved ones. Thanks to BDJ Box and Covergirl, I was able to look presentable in all the events I attended!

I’m a fan of Cover Girl’s neutral and metallic shadows. They are so versatile. 🙂

The first eyeshadow I tried from Covergirl was the one included in this box. 🙂 I like CG foundations though. 🙂
