Human Nature Tinted Lip Balms

Ever since I registered in Human Nature, I knew I have to try all their products. I am absolutely addicted to everything Human Nature!

One of the main stay in my kikay kit is the Human Nature Tinted Lip Balm.

Human Nature Tinted Lip Balms

100% all natural Tinted Lip Balm

Ingredients: Ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, beeswax, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, caprylic/capric triglyceride (coconut oil derived), Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Mentha piperita (peppermint) essential oil,Calendula officinalis (calendula) extract, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, tocopherol, (+/-): zinc oxide (CI 77497), iron oxide (CI 77491), manganese violet (CI 77742), mica (CI 77019), titanium dioxide (CI 77891)

It is perfect as base before putting on lipsticks to add or create new colors. It is also perfect on its own. It is a 2-in-1 product that moisturizes lips and gives it a hint of color. It’s filled with all natural goodness – cocoa butter, beeswax and all natural plant oils. It keeps my lips soft, hydrated and moisturized.

What’s better is that it has three shades to choose from. Pink Orchid has a pink tint, Island Kiss gives a coral shade, and Flame Tree has a red tinge.

For 4g of lip balm, you only pay 79php.

Flame Tree, Pink Orchid, Island Glow

dark red tint of Flame Tree

I keep Flame Tree in my bag at all times. It is a quick pick me up product for me. Whenever I don’t have time to go the restroom and do touch ups, I just put this on and I’m confident again. It is a substitute for lipstick and I am sure it won’t make my lips chapped.

pink tint of Pink Ochid

Pink Orchid

Pink Orchid goes invisible on my lips so I only use this at home and before going to bed. I still want to feel pretty before snoozing! 🙂

coral tint of Island Kiss

Island Kiss

My favorite among the three is Island Glow. It is a staple in my kikay kit because I really want its shade. I really love coral shades.

Putting any of this on makes me smile more often knowing that what I put on my lips is good for me, good for the country and good for the environment.

Here’s a summary of what I like and don’t like:

(+) perfect blend of natural ingredients

(+) keeps lips soft and supple

(+) gives a hint of color when worn alone

(+) good enough as lipstick base

(+) tiny shimmers add oomph to lips

(+) affordable!

(+) 100% natural

(-) only 3 shades to choose from (not really bad though!)

My winning entry:
What is a miracle? A miracle for me is anything, big or small, that can cause a great change in someone’s life. We think it happens during the most unexpected of moments…But, in reality, miracles happen everyday. They are the simplest blessings that make us smile at the end of the day.

Human Heart Nature Mineral Blush

Human Heart Nature Mineral Blush

I have a confession – I am addicted to blushes. I love them to bits because it easily lightens up any face. It cheats a perfect flush for us girls.

I made sure that I purchased the HHN mineral blush since I am confident it is only the good I will be getting. I went to HHN Manila to swatch the blushes and pick out one that suits me really well… but I ended up getting all the shades! I can’t make up my mind and decided that I complete the four.

Human Nature Mineral Blushes (cute packaging)

CLAIMS: This lightweight, sheer mineral blush has Vitamin E antioxidants for healthy skin. Its silky texture glides on smoothly and doesn’t wear off easily, giving you a healthy-looking glow from morning till night.

The shades include Tropical Rose, Petal Bloom, Pink Quartz and Rosy Cheeks. I can’t pick out a favorite though since I love each equally. I just pick the shade I am going to use depending on my mood.

I use a fan brush when applying this because I think it gives more color and blends better than the kabuki brush. It is very easy to apply and goes on smoothly every time. The powder formula sets perfectly on my skin giving it a natural, healthy glow. It is pigmented, semi-matte, semi-luminous, yet very easy to blend. There is also no room for mistakes with this product since it can’t look overdone, whatever shade I am using. This one’s definitely a keeper!

(+) sheer yet buildable shades

(+) cute purple packaging

(+) affordable!

(-) no mirror and brush included

(-) no SPF

(-) only 4 shades available

Human Nature Mineral Make Up

23 Aug

I guess one of the best decisions I made in life is to become an HHN dealer. I believe in their advocacies and I salute them for being pro-Philippines, pro-poor, and pro-environment. I believe that this is a win-win situation. I get to buy and use world class products without spending too much. I get only the benefits organic products offer (HHN offers only the good!). I don’t harm Mother Nature and I get to give back to the poor. I registered not to sell but to enjoy the 25% discount privilege of dealers. Human Heart Nature Mineral Pressed Powder

I’ve stopped using pressed powders a long time ago since my dermatologist did not approve of the binders and chemicals that compact powders have. I didn’t even try any make up range since I was sort of ‘banned’ by my derma. The only product I use then was TBS lip balm.

I was skeptical to try the MMU (mineral make up) range since I was scared of having break outs. Then again, I decided to give it a shot. And I’m so happy I did!

This pressed powder is LOVE.

Choosing a shade online is quite hard so I bought my mineral make up range in HHN Manila branch so I can test and swatch products. I got the mineral pressed powder in Orient Pearl (which has a yellow undertone). Island shell turns reddish pink on me. I just love the shade so much since it goes invisible on my skin. It is really made for Filipina skin because the shades are just so close to our skin tones.

without flash (orient pearl)

It’s light and very easy to apply with the sponge that came with it. I can feel my skin breathe because it does not give a thick, cakey feeling like other pressed powders I know of.  It gives light coverage and zaps oiliness in an instant. I am totally hooked with this product! I did not have any breakouts at all.

The only problem I have is its cracking. I did not bother taking pictures of the cracked orient pearl since it has been replaced immediately. Less than a week, I have my new compacts! I had two compacts swapped already. What’s good is that the HHN staff, especially in Manila branch, was very accommodating.

here is a shot of the back part of the compact. complete details!

Here’s to sum up my likes and dislikes with the pressed powder

(+) 100% natural

(+) pro-Philippines, pro-poor, and pro-environment

(+) great in controlling and preventing oil

(+) suitable even for sensitive skin

(+) gives light coverage

(+) did not cause any breakout on my skin

(+)great shades – perfect for Filipina skin

(+) affordable!

(-) does not conceal blemishes and dark spots

(-) no SPF

(-) easily cracks and most of the products go to waste, though newer batches don’t crack anymore
